SWIN Industries provides customised winches, davit arms and confined-space equipment for pharmaceutical, chemical, speciality chemical and process-industry facilities.
Our equipment can support reactor and vessel maintenance, controlled handling of pumps and motors, tank-entry operations and personnel retrieval from restricted-access areas. Material selection and surface finish can be adapted to the process environment and customer specification.
Portable or fixed davit arms can be developed for lifting pumps, agitator components, motors and maintenance tools near reactors, tanks and process vessels.
SS304 or SS316 construction, fixed or telescopic boom, manual or electric winch operation and site-specific base arrangements can be considered.
SS304 and SS316 spur gear or worm gear winches are suitable for controlled operation in corrosive or hygiene-sensitive process areas.
Electric winches can be configured for frequent lifting, pulling or positioning tasks with application-specific speed, rope capacity, braking and controls.
Portable confined-space davit arms can support planned entry and retrieval from reactors, tanks, vessels and pits when selected as part of an approved entry and rescue procedure.
Rescue tripods can be used at suitable vertical openings where adequate setup space is available around the entry point.
The final material should be selected according to chemical exposure, wash-down conditions, hygiene requirements and the customer’s plant specification. Product contact or clean-room suitability must be confirmed separately for each application.
Personnel-entry equipment must be specifically selected for the intended confined-space application and used under an approved permit, supervision and rescue procedure. Material-lifting davit arms must not be assumed to be suitable for personnel rescue.
